The Bio Villages initiative of Girijana Vikas aims to transform entire villages into
sustainable natural-farming communities by supporting farmers to become Seed-to-Seed (S2S) Farmers.
Our Bio Village Model
Seed-to-Seed Farmers
Transform all farmers in a village into Seed-to-Seed farmers, enabling them to produce and preserve their own natural farming inputs and seeds.Girijana Vikas Model Farmers
Farmers are encouraged to adopt and demonstrate the Girijana Vikas natural farming model, creating local examples that can be replicated by other farmers.100% Natural Farming
Promote and facilitate the adoption of 100% natural farming practices, reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.Community Cattle Sheds & Natural Inputs
Establish a cattle shed in every Bio Village and ensure the availability of essential resources and inputs required for natural farming, including locally prepared bio-inputs.
Bio Villages – Second Year
During the second year, the following villages have been converted into Bio Villages:

Modigabandha
Tentla Veedhi
Chinasagulu
Lakkavaram
Mallikarjunulu
Chuttugondi
L. Mangalapalem
Farmers in these villages are being supported to become Seed-to-Seed Farmers and adopt 100% natural farming practices.
Bio Villages – Third Year
The following villages are targeted for conversion during the third year:

Rampula
Bandhaveedhi
Kokitapadu
K. Kodisingi
Yerracheruvulu
Gunalanka
Itarobbalu
Currently, approximately 60% of farmers in these villages are already practicing natural farming. During the third year, Girijana Vikas aims to bring the remaining farmers into the natural farming system and transform these villages into 100% Natural Farming Bio Villages.
